Monitoring and Evaluation

Recent research has highlighted the importance of monitoring and evaluating management and leadership development. Through these processes, it becomes possible not only to demonstrate the impact, but also to identify improvements and future requirements - thus adding "value" and encouraging continuous improvement.

As an evolving Centre of Excellence in leadership development, the CLS is in an excellent position to provide guidance, support and research services related to the evaluation of strategic development initiatives. Our staff have extensive experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of a wide-range of management and leadership development initiatives across a broad array of organisational sectors, occupations and locations. We can thus recommend a range of evaluation solutions, including advisory support, development of tools and methodologies and customised research.

Within the monitoring and evaluation process we can either work alongside you in the design, implementation and interpretation of the research or remain as an objective, independent observer. We can help develop recommendations, programme improvements and advise on how to respond to programme outcomes/findings. The preferred methods will depend on the nature of the task, but may include surveys, interviews, focus groups, literature reviews, case studies, statistical analysis, qualitative analysis and action research.
