Research Resources: Further Details
-
Research
Resources is designed to fill an existing gap in the market. Namely,
independent consultants and corporate HR departments that do not have
the technical back-up or experience to undertake valid and reliable
research into leadership applications that require specialised research
know-how, or simply lack appropriate people resources.
-
It provides students with both opportunities for the research component
of the curriculum, or potential dissertation topics, as well as for
gaining valuable field experience within 'live' leadership environments.
-
Completed
research assignments provide material for publications, and also as
case studies for teaching and CPD purposes.
-
Research
Resources operates as a commercial entity and resources are made available
at rates broadly comparable with related facilities in the private
sector (for example, market research companies.)
-
Funds
that accrue to the Centre through this initiative may be ring-fenced
for research programmes.
A
typical research assignment could be, for example:
- A joint project,
between the Centre for Leadership Studies and the Centre for Finance
and Investment, undertaken on behalf of a major financial services
group, aimed at exploring the dynamics of the perception of corporate
leadership and its impact on analyst recommendation and investment
community reputation.
